BLOG ENTRY 1: BIOLOGY AND GEOLOGY PROJECT

INTRODUCtION:

In this process we are going to learn about the different parts of a cell.  We are going to study the Prokaryotic cell, the animal cell and the plant cell.   We are going to discover and know how to create an edible cell made by different food.

This blog was created by:
-Diego Coreas.
-Génesis Iraheta.

Prokaryotic cell:

MATERIALS:
-1 papaya.            -  knife
-Sticks.                    - spoon

-rainbow strips.     – scissors

PROCESS:
-  First, we cut the papaya at the half, and then we put the half of the papaya in.

 - Second, we cut the rainbow strips at the half, and then we did a braid.

- Next, We used the papaya seeds to created ribosomes, and the genetic material was created of the seeds.

- Finally, we put the sticks to make the fimbriae.

.

Animal cell:

-rainbow strips.
gummy cherries
-gummy candys
- cantaloupe
-peach

PROCESS:
- First, we cut a corner of  the cantaloupe like a triangle, and then we put the peach inside of the cantaloupe to create the nucleus.

- Second, we cut the rainbow strips, and we put them of the cantaloupe to create the ribosomes.

- Finally, we put the gummy candy’s
around the cantaloupe , we used the seeds of the papaya to created the  lysosomes.

Plant cell:

- Bread
-gummy candys
- Rainbow ship
- Custard cream.

-food coloring

PROCESS:
- First, we put food coloring in the custard cream, and then we cut the corners of the cake.

-Second, we spread the whole cake with custard, and then we did the nucleus of the cell.

- Finally, we put the rainbow strips around the nucleus to create the ribosomes

What the you learned about this project?
We learned the different parts of the cells and how to create an edible cell.
